Dear Mates,
Thanks for sticking by me over this long wait for my next music. One very exciting move has happened!
Emi (U.S.A.) folded & now I am on Capitol records under the tutelage of Gary Gersh, a well respected man. To me it is a great relief, and means it's action on all fronts.
Don't worry, I won't hesitate, it's Billy Idol for 1998! - I was sorry about Michael Hutchence - a very nice gent; as I was playing with Willem I thought of what he will miss and of his fans who must be very shaken. The same fate could very easily have been my own a couple of years ago, but I hope my absense, from the scandal sheets proves

Rock 'n' Roll has had too many sad breaks, I won't add to them. The fan Club is a great reminder that I haven't done all this for nothing. Your care & interest sustain me & will keep me on the the right path.
I hope you enjoy the picture of me in my band I was in, in 1975 pre -chelsea- we did Animals & Velvet Underground stuff, but it set me on my path. I went to University with the ex-treasurer for the Hells Angels, & I thought of any one he would understand my wanting to be in a group. When I told him he just said

"there all queer in groups aren't they?" It cracked me up. I hope all is well with you all at Xmas and let's plan that this year will see a new IDOL Album and a rocker at that.
