Harajuku by Tomoyuki Oonishi
Harajuku is the mecca of teens culture here
in Japan.
(you can find Harajuku on the guide map of Hard Rock Cafe I send before.)
You can see two figures -a punk boy & a red-shirts girl.)

Reportedly,
fashion of young people's wearing look like London punks, but I don't know their
cultural spirit is the same with the foreign past culture.
Japan has a
traditional fashion culture which is called Basara. Basara is odd, excessively
decorated, gorgeous, glamorous fashion. You can see present -but traditional-
Basara style at
http://ha2.seikyou.ne.jp/home/ta-o/basara/e-index.htm
Basara
originated in the 14th century, as the antipode of simple, naive culture. Simple
aspect of Japanese culture is much famous, but Basara is also Japanese culture.
In the end of the 16th century, Basara's style "kabuku" evolved into Kabuki, gorgeous drama style. And reportedly they love English punk music.
