Born:  May 5th, 1959

1981   Steve recorded an album with a band called 'Fine Malibus', but it was never released.

1982  Steve made his first professional recording when he joined Peter Criss (ex Kiss)  for his 3rd album,  entitled ‘Let Me Rock you’, as a guest musician.
He then joined forces with Billy Idol & went on to release Billy’s first album ‘Billy Idol’, co-writing some of the tracks.  

1983    Steve continued to work with Billy & co-wrote his next album with him, ‘Rebel Yell’.

1984   Steve was involved in the release of Billy’s ‘Collection’ album, Vital Idol.

1985  He then joined Simon F’s first album ‘Gun’, as a guest musician.  
He also was a guest with the Thompson Twins on their 5th album, ‘Here’s to  Future Days'. 

1986   Billy Idol’s 3rd album, Whiplash Smile’ is released, Steve co-writing some of the songs on the album. 
Steve wrote & recorded the ‘Top Gun  Anthem’  for the movie. He later received a Grammy award for this. ‘ The best instrumental performance award’       
He then participated in Price-Sultans first album, ‘Light On’ 
He later joined Ric Ocasek’s 2nd album, ‘This Side of Paradise’.  

1987    Steve met with Michael Jackson & played on his ‘Bad’ album.  

1988    Steve joined Joni Mitchell’s 15th album, ‘Chalk Mark In a Rainstorm’, as a guest musician.
Steve & Billy Idol go their separate ways.      
Michael Jackson’s ‘Dirty Diana' becomes no #1 in the States. 

1989    Steve formed his own band, Steve Stevens Atomic Playboys & releases the album of the same name.
He also joins Steve Lukathers first album, ‘Lukather’.  

1990  Steve joins Robert Palmer 11th album ‘On’t Explain’, as a guest musician.

1991  Steve recorded ‘Funkcaution’ with Michael Monroe, included in ‘Guitar’s Practicing Musicians vol 2’.   
He then joined McQueens Street’s first album, McQueen Street’
He also joined Adam Bomb for two songs ‘New York Child’ & ‘Anxiety’, although they were never released.  

1992  Steve formed the band ‘Jerusalem Slim’ with Michael Monroe & Hanoi Rocks, but left during recording.  The album was released later that year. 
Steve joined the Vince Neil band.
 

1993  The Vince Neil bands album, ‘Exposed’ was released Steve toured with this &  then left the band.

1994  Steve & Billy reunite & write & record the sound track for the movie Speed.
Steve supplied the Steve Stevens Atomic Playboys title track to the movie ‘Ace Ventura’.
 

1996  Steve joined Stevie Ray’s tribute album ‘Crossfire – A tribute to Stevie Ray.
He joined West Arkeen’s band, The Outpatience 1st album, ‘Anxious disease’

Steve contributed to a tribute to Hank And the Shadows called ``Twang``. He plays on the track ``The Savage``
 

1997  Steve recorded an instrumental with Terry Bozzio & Tony Levin, "Bozzio, Levin & Stevens, the Black Light Syndrome."
Steve then joined Angelica’s  album, ‘Angelica’.
Also Kyosuke Himuro’s album, I EDE EA, which was released the same year.
 

1998  Steve joined ‘Modern Love’, included in Kyosuke Himuro’s album, ‘Collective Souls’.
Steve appeared as a guest on Enuff Z’Nuff’s show, as an encore in Japan.
Steve joins up again with Billy Idol to work on a new album, which was never released, due to contractual problems.
 

1999  Steve does three end-of-year shows with Billy Idol in America's Southwest.

2000  Flamenco.A.Go.Go: A fabulous CD showcasing Steve's amazing talent in a multitude of musical styles.   It's all Steve.  Buy it! You'll love it.
February, Steve joins Billy Idol on a four show tour through America's Mid West.
July, Situation Dangerous: An incredible CD on which Steve teams up again with Terry Bozzio & Tony Levin. A must for any Steve Stevens fan.
Following this, Steve embarks on a short mid west summer tour with Billy Idol.

2001  Steve contributed to a tribute to Queen called 'Stone Cold Queen'. He plays on the track 'Stone Cold Crazy'.
Steve  embarks on a spring/summer tour with Billy Idol. 
VH1 presents a Behind the Music special on Billy Idol, featuring Steve & which leads to Stevens and Idol filming a 2 hr acoustic show for VH1's storytellers. 
Billy Idol And Steve Stevens appear on David Letterman and Jay Leno while continuing to sell out shows along the way with the tour extending into August with a performance at the MTV 20th birthday bash. 
The tour continues into September & concludes with four Christmas & New Year shows.

2002  Steve continues to work with Billy Idol, writing & recording new material for a new CD, anticipated for later in the year.
Summer brings 5 weeks of shows, with the promise of some more new songs.
